Hi! I'm Neurospartan and I myself have a ancient/dds pure. For all the haters out there, I'll answer the question; Why Ancient/DDS pure?

Why Is My Ancient/DDS better than your Blitz/Gmauler
A decent ancient/ddser of level 65 combat:
60 attack
80 strength
1 defense (of course)
31 prayer
82 magic
1-70 range (doesn't matter a whole lot)
70ish hitpoints

A decent blitz/gmauler of 65 combat:
50 attack
85 strength
1 defense
31 prayer
82 magic
around 72 hitpoints

The Ancient/DDS is a much better pure because it is able to survive being rushed easily, which is the main PKing strategy of the Blitz/Gmauler.

Starting off
Ok, so your off the tutorial, that's a start. At this point I skilled a bit. I would recommend getting 50 woodcutting, firemaking, cooking and fishing. I got mining but that is optional. Also, do the two strongholds for the nice 20k. Congratz, you have a requirement for Lost City done, also a requirement for Monkey Madness! Now, head over to the chicken coop and get 10 attack and 15 strength.
Now head over to the monastery and train on monks. Get 20 attack and 30 strength here.
Now, become a member. It is needed to be a successful DDS/ancients pure. Now time for a bit of questing.... I know it's boring but you need it.
Do these quests:
Vampire slayer
Waterfall Quest
Death Plateau
Cook's Assistant (optional for Mithril gloves)

Now your stats should look like...
36 attack
36 strength
24 hitpoints (plus or minus a few)

Now you need to make a bit of money. I would recommend flax to bs since crafting is a requirement for Lost City. Try to make around 200k.

Buy *takes a breath* a strength amulet, iron set(with boots), climbing boots, combat brace(4), around 800 mind runes, an air staff, about 1.8k curses, 500 cooked salmon, and a rune scimitar/brine saber, and an adamant scimitar

Now head up to the rock crabs wielding your iron set, climbing boots, combat brace, adamant scimitar and an inventory of salmon. Have your rune scimitar/saber in your inventory. Train here until you are 40 attack and 50 strength.

Now if you don't want range on your new pure, skip this step.
Buy around 1k iron knives and an amulet of glory and get 40 range at rock crabs.

Now, at rock crabs get 60 strength.

...Sorry, but it's time for more questing...

Here's a summary of your stats at this point

Now, Train to 60 attack wherever your want to. You're probably getting tired of seeing the grayness of Relleka.

Mage Training
Ok, wear your full iron set(iron boots not climbing) and splash wind strike to 19 mage. Then cast curse on the Monk of Zamorak in the Varrock Palace until 45 magic. You're done for the time.


COLOR="Navy"]Now, it's time for the 2 of the biggest quests[/color]
You heard me. It's time to do Lost City and Monkey Madness!
Lost City:
Very straightforward until the cave on Entrana. Have in your inventory: a teleport off the island(to Lumbridge recommended) about 100 fire strikes, and close to 10 lobsters. DON'T FORGET YOUR WCING AXE AND KNIFE!!!!!!!!!! For fighting the spirit, just hide behind the mushroom and blast away at it!
Monkey Madness:
Actually one of the most entertaining quests to me. (But that's just my opinion..) You'll need to make some money for this one... You'll need...
A dds, about 100 sharks, 15 or so saradomin brews, 20 super antipoisons, and an iron set...
For the demon, just run across the bridge cramming sharks as he mages you. He won't be able to hit you here. Wait for the gnomes to get hit him until his health is at the red bar. Now, turn on your dds spec and charge him, you should hit a 4/4 and K0 the demon.

Congratz you can wield a DRAGON SCIMITAR!!! It isn't easy, give yourself a pat on the back.

More mage
Believe me I hate it too. I would recommend making tabs to get 55 magic then alching to 70 mage.

The Last Quest!
Other than subquests/mith gloves, this is the last quest you will have to do...
Desert Treasure. For the thieving requirements, I would HIGHLY recommend making squirk juice. I got 53 thieving in a day doing this.
I learned also, that you can get the crystals without needing thieving up. So do that if you can.

CONGRATZ! You have ANCIENT MAGICKS!

I would highly recommend taking a break at this point before you strangle yourself. Try skilling, DMing with friends, playing C wars, whatever suits you.

Finishing up
The last thing you need to do, is get 31 prayer, 80 strength, and 82 magic.and 70 range if you want the mage defense bonus
You should have 11 prayer from Dt subquests, so buy around 50 dragon bones and head to a gilded altar...
For magic, more alching... boring I know. It's 29k alchs from 70-82 mage, but hella worth it. It should take around a month. For strength, do creature of fenkenstrain and bring nothing but an invent of super attacks to experiments. Pot up and repot when your attack level falls back to 60. This will speed up training by 20%.for 70 range, I would recommend iron knives at fire giants.

Also what I learned after a bit of research, you can have 75 strength over 80 strength BUT have 43 prayer over 31 protecting you from pjers, allowing you to get firecape, access to avansies(if you got range up) etc.
Final Words
Gratz, you're done training. It isn't easy. Most people give up. Here are your skills at this point.

Ok, here is what you need
Wearing:
Amulet of Strength
Full Ghostly (no boots)
Climbing boots
Mith Gloves if you did RFD.
and a ring of recoil

Invent:
2 super strength pots
1 ring of recoil(optional in case first one ditches you)
about 50 blitz runes (or burst)

Strategy: Wait until you see someone with loot you might want, then turn on protect item and ultimate strength, then blitz/burst them until they are around half hp, then charge them and dds spec them a few times. Then run out and put on full iron and restock your food, run back in, loot the pile and survive the penalty. Also, if you get pjed, blitz them, then step back and use blood spells, such as blood blitz.Also, another helpful strategy, but will give you a grey skull, is to blitz them twice, d scim until they are half hp, blitz twice more then dds spec for the k0!

68 combat
You got 68 combat... *Dun dun dun* For you bh career as a pure, you're finished. However, it doesn't mean you still can't bh!
Here are some options for you in the mid crater =]

Zerker Pure
Basically the idea of a zerker is to be maxed out except for 45 defense and 52 prayer. What you should do for this is train to 52 prayer and then get 45 defense. BUT! Quest to 45 defense!!!!!! Do Fremminik Trials, Dragon Slayer, Heroes' Quest, Legend's Quest(optional) and whatever else you want. Then keep on training!

Range Tank
One of my personal favorites and what I probably will do when i hit that dreaded 68 cb. The basic stat build for a tank is:
75 attack (god sword)
80ish strength
70 prayer (piety) if you have done king's ransom)
99 defense (hence the phrase; tank)
range 99 (tanks are nothing without big guns :P)
99 hp

Well, I've kept this secret long enough for me to make my share of money from it. I've made 230M in 3 weeks. Now I've decided to share this with the sythe community, My friend X GOD X turned me on to sythe, and He protests me telling you this. But here it is.

After 80 hunter you can use a hunter potion and hunt Dragon Implings. the problem is that nobody knows the good spawn points. For a long time I thought the best spawn point was the bridge on the way to rellekka. it is if you world hop, and after about 10 worlds you might find a D Imp. My friend in game told me this spot, and he did it for about 2 months and bought himself a red partyhat.

But I have found a better spot to hunt D Imps.

MOS LE HARMLESS!!!!

You will usually find 2 D imps per world hop on Mos' Le Harmless.

The most I've ever made was 11M/Hour there.

Now, the best place to hunt them on Mos' Le Harmless is within about 50 squares in all directions of the Cave horror Marker.

There are techniques to catching them witch I will now share with you.



Okay, Dragon Implings aren't like catching most implings, you can't just run up and catch them, you will fail.

First you need a hunter potion if you only have 80 hunter.

Heres what you do:

1. Find the Dragon impling
2. Entangle it (requires 78 magic)
3. Pot up
4. Run over to the impling and catch it.

Its that simple, 500k earned with such little effort. Sure beats Killing aviansies for 3 hours :P

Its also a wise investment to get the Magical Net from Puro Puro instead of using a butterfly net.

HERES ANOTHER EXTRA NUGGET!!!!

you will usually find ninja implings and Magpie Implings all over the place! You would do well to catch those.

Ninja implings:24-27K
Magpie implings: 17-20K
Dragon implings: 450-500K

IMO bandits are only really effective at 70+ str I recommend 80+ but yeah some ppl are lazy.

At 70 – 80 Str using sup str pots: 50k exp an hour and 11 P Pots (4)

80 - 99 Str using sup str pots: 65k exp an hour and 11 P Pots (4) Used.

Here are some answers to questions people keep asking me


For 70 – 85 str you will need 500 P Pots (4)

80 – 90 str you will need 600 P Pots (4)

90 – 99 str you will need 1300 P Pots (4)

94 – 99 str you will need 825 P Pots (4)

Remember, the P Pots are all (4)

Take a gulp of str/attack pots when you feel you need it (I never let my stats get back to there normal always potted up sometime before.

You can take noted p pots and un-note them at the shop to cut out the banking part.

Chinchompas – you have to be quite rich to be able to use this method

I started using them on damage at 70 range and was getting almost the same exp at 90 range so they are awesome exp for whatever lvl, if you haven’t completed monkey madness then use the MM tunnel!! The Exp there is 10x more. But if you have done MM don’t worry its still awesome exp at bandits.

At 70 range 1k chins = 80k exp

At 90 – 99 range the exp from 1k chins averages at 130k exp per chins (Must use range prayer and range pots)

^^ Need to use range pots. You can average at about 1m exp per day using them. Day = about 8 hours.

What you should wear and what your inv should look like, (The same can be used for the MM tunnel, Just take a tab!)

Ice burst, again you have to be quite rich to be able to use this method I really wouldn’t recommend it if you don’t have a decent amount of cash, Not much point going broke over it lol

1k Ice bursts = 110k exp and 40k hp exp and costs 1100k ea

70 – 94 Mage = 70M (Just for the runes) + 400 P Pots (4)

70 – 99 Mage = 120M (Just for the runes) + 1100 P Pots (4)
